That’s exactly what ARIA Award–winning producer Adrian Breakspear is offering a small, hand-picked group of emerging Australian artists.

Best known for producing Gang of Youths’ ARIA-winning album 'Go Farther in Lightness", along with a catalogue of critically acclaimed Australian records, Adrian has built a reputation for honest, emotional, and timeless production. His work has shaped careers, not just songs.
Now, Adrian is turning his attention to the future.
He’s launching a limited, mentorship-driven studio initiative aimed at discovering and supporting the next generation of Australian acts; the kind of artists who sound best when they’re playing together in a room, not pieced together track by track.
This Isn’t a Competition, It’s a Real Studio Experience.
This initiative is about music first. Selected artists will be invited into the studio to record a demo (or two) live, with Adrian behind the desk. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just real songs, real performances, and real producer guidance.
Importantly, this opportunity is only open to acts who can record all their parts live in the studio. Bands, duos, or solo artists with a live setup - if you can play it, you can record it.
How It Works
The process is simple, selective, and intentionally hands-on:

Invited acts spend a few hours in the studio with Adrian recording a live demo (or a couple, time permitting).Producer-led demo build
Adrian records the session, adds tasteful ad-libs where appropriate, and edits the recording into a complete, fully realised demo track for evaluation.Professional feedback & next-step advice
After the session, Adrian provides honest producer feedback on the track — what’s working, what could be stronger, and where the artist should focus next.
The Cost (And Why This Is Rare)
Adrian’s usual producer rate is $800 per day — but for this initiative, he’s waiving his fee entirely.
Artists only need to cover studio hire, a flat $500 for the use of the top-end recording studio live room.
That’s it.
No producer fee
No backend claims
No hidden strings
Most importantly: artists retain 100% ownership of their recordings.
Artists will also have the opportunity to use the video content recorded throughout the process.
